3) to teach vocal technique and performance skills
4) to provide a place for trained singers and instrumentalists to perform
5) to perform concerts for organizations supporting those in need.
Fort Bragg Chapels’ Community Choir (FBCCC) developed as
an
extension of HASM to accommodate the US Armed Forces Chapel Services.
MISSION STATEMENT
The HASM Community Choir, and FBCCC's founded and directed by Helene G. Smith,
are a very unique group of deeply faithful and dedicated Christians of various musical
skills, talents and denominations. The members rehearse together as a family of faith in order to perform moving, memorable, and
spiritually uplifting concerts.
As a choir, the members celebrate music that adheres to the teachings of the Holy
Bible, Old and New Testaments, the spirit of The Apostles Creed, and the Lord’s Prayer. The mission is to sing
beautiful, divinely inspired sacred music, bringing Scriptures to life, and nourishing the soul. The goal is to preserve this music for generations to come.
HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION
Ten weekly 2 hour rehearsals begin early December and
continue January through February. Three Concerts per year are scheduled. A package of 11
choral selections are learned each season. Rehearsal cd’s or MP3’s are
available. Individual remedial work will be required for some individuals at no charge. The
development of individual skills and the performance level of the choir are
priorities.
